Privacy policy
Hi there. This page explains what LinksMango knows about you, why, and what we do with it. We kept it short and in plain words, because nobody became a creator to read legal documents.
The short version: we keep what we need to run your page, we never sell your data, and your visitors stay anonymous to us and to you.
Who we are
LinksMango is run by CartMango, based in Indonesia. If you have a question about your data, write to help@linksmango.com. A real human reads it (hi, it’s Welly).
What we collect about you, the creator
- Your email address, your name and your profile photo, from Google. You log in with your Google account, so Google shares your email address (that is your account here), your name (we use it to say hi in our emails and to start your page) and your Google profile photo, which we use as your first profile photo. You can change it any time. There are no passwords here, so there is nothing to remember.
- Everything you put on your page. Your username, display name, bio, profile photo, social links, link buttons, product cards, their pictures, prices and checkout links. All of this is public on purpose: it is your page, and showing it to the world is the whole point.
- Your page’s stats. How many times your page was opened, and how many clicks each link, product card and social icon got, per day.
- The usernames you try. We check them to keep out scams, fake accounts and rude names.
What we collect about your visitors
Almost nothing, and that is on purpose.
- We count page opens and clicks. That is it. Just numbers.
- Our stats do not record who your visitors are: no names, no emails, no IP addresses, no location, no device details. Just the count.
- Like almost every website, our hosting company keeps short technical logs to run and protect its servers, and those can include a visitor’s IP address. We don’t use them for stats, and we never look up who your visitors are.
- Your page sets no cookies, unless you ask us to add your own Google Ads tag to it (more on that below). We also use Plausible, a privacy-friendly counter that shows us overall traffic. It doesn’t identify anyone and doesn’t follow your visitors around the internet.
Why we use your information
- To run your page and show it to the world.
- To let you log in and keep you logged in.
- To show you your stats.
- To email you. When you sign up, we add you to our email list, run with a tool called BirdSend. We’ll send you a welcome, tips to get more from your page, and now and then a note about CartMango, our checkout tool for creators. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and 1 click stops them. Unsubscribing never affects your page.
- To keep the place safe. We check usernames and pages to catch scams, and we close accounts that break the rules (more on that in our Terms).
Who helps us run the app
We use a few trusted services. They handle your data only to do their job for us:
- Supabase stores your account, your page and your pictures.
- Vercel hosts the app and delivers your page to visitors. Like most web hosts, it keeps short technical logs, which can include IP addresses.
- Google handles your login. Logging in is done with your Google account.
- OpenRouter, an AI service, helps us check usernames. It gets only the name, nothing else about you.
- BirdSend sends our emails to you.
- Cloudflare Turnstile helps keep robots out.
- Gravatar shows your Gravatar photo in your editor, if you have one. It gets a scrambled code made from your email to find it.
- Plausible counts visits, so we can see overall traffic. It uses no cookies and doesn’t identify anyone.
- Google Ads, only on a page whose owner runs Google ads and asked us to add their own Google Ads tag. On that page, Google’s tag measures which ad visits lead to a tap on a WhatsApp link, and Google’s own privacy policy covers what it collects. Pages without it never load it.
We never sell your data, and we never rent it or trade it either.
Cookies and browser storage
- A login cookie, only when you are logged in. It keeps you logged in. Without it, you would be asked to log in on every click, and nobody wants that.
- A few small notes in your browser, like which editor sections you folded away. They stay on your device.
- Your public page sets no cookies at all. It may keep a small note in your visitor’s browser tab, which disappears when the tab closes and never identifies anyone.
- The one exception: if a page’s owner asked us to add their own Google Ads tag, Google’s tag sets its own cookies on that page, to measure the ads.
How long we keep things
- Your account and page stay as long as your account exists.
- If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account, page, pictures and stats. We’ll confirm by email when it is done.
- If you change your username, your old address stops working straight away, and someone else can then claim it.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the data we have about you,
- fix anything that is wrong,
- delete your account and everything on it,
- stop emailing you (or just click unsubscribe).
Email help@linksmango.com from the address you log in with, and we’ll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under your local law, and we’ll respect them.
Kids
LinksMango is for people aged 16 and over. If you are younger, please don’t sign up.
Changes to this policy
If we change something important, we’ll email you before it takes effect. Small fixes, like typos, just get a new date at the top.
